About Us

About Us

A diverse team is responsible for the creation of Harley and Hobbit. Come meet our team members:

Myung Ko (Project Lead)

Myung is an associate research engineer. He has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Amber Trueblood (Hobbit Voice and Project Support)

Amber is an assistant research scientist. She is trained in public health with a DrPH in Epidemiology and Environmental Health.

Bren McCullar (Educational Specialist)

Bren has served as the educational specialist ensuring that Harley and Hobbit are designed for their intended audience, as well as meet the TEKS. She is a Professor in the Education Department at Blinn College. Bren has a B.S. and M.S. in Elementary Education and holds a Mid-Management Alternative Certification.

Debbie Murillo (Curriculum and Web Design)

Debbie has a B.S. in Industrial, Vocational and Technical Education. She assists in the development of curriculum and activities. She has also designed our printed materials and website.

Paige Ericson-Graber (Harley Voice)

Paige has her master’s degree from the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. When she isn’t voicing Harley, she is working on managing and directing the Texas Impaired Driving Task Force.

Ergun Akleman and Students (Animations)

Ergun is a Professor in the Departments of Visualization & Computer Science and Visualization. He has a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Ergun is a professional cartoonist, illustrator, and caricaturist who has published more than 500 cartoons, illustrations, and caricatures. He mentors the students who are responsible for producing the animations.
